Petoskey Wedding Perry's Hotel-Leah and Maggie

Perry's Hotel
Petoskey, MI

Congratulations to Leah and Maggie!! These two brides are so beautiful-- inside and out. Both of them bring laughter and happiness wherever they go. They have been a perfect match for each other ever since they met at medical school. I was so honored to capture their big day, which was SOOOO much fun! I had an absolute blast! It started with the girls getting ready and everyone was just so excited and bubbly! The first look was super cute because Leah and Maggie had the same reaction.  Their warmth and connection to each other are a photographer's dream. I adore these two (did you see their engagement session?! www.lookatthebiggerpicture.com/blog/leah-and-maggie-4.  They also like "the vino", which makes me like them even more).

It was a very intimate celebration, and the guests were all having fun and just enjoying themselves with Petoskey's beautiful scenery in the background. We all had a blast on the dance floor (yes, I even got my groove on!) and definitely didn't want the night to end.

I am ecstatic that I made two new friends. I can't wait to have some wine with these chicas. I look forward to all their adventures to come!

Here are some samples of the day...

EVE at the BOB Grand Rapids--- Andy and Jen

EVE at the BOB
Grand Rapids, MI

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Schubert!! These two are such a beautiful couple-- inside and out. They met at work years ago and have been together ever since.

Jen opened the door for me in the midst of getting ready, with the girls all a flutter, and she was just so gorgeous and warm. When I went to check on the fellas, Andy was asking me how she was doing and I felt the love he had for her. We did the door shot and I knew they just wanted to see each other so badly! It was really cute. It was nice to catch his reaction when she was walking down the aisle, though. I think everyone choked up a little at that point.

We had a sunny day on August 3rd, and took a little walk around Grand Rapids before heading back to the reception. Then the celebrating really started! The smores bar was a big hit. This wedding had the best dancing guests, I believe! It was so much fun. They only left the dance floor for "Pudgy Bunny". The Schuberts always held this competition when they went camping. You shove your face with marshmallows, saying "Pudgy Bunny" each time you do. It was funny to see 7 foot tall Andy with huge cheeks, saying "Pudgy Bunny" in his deep voice.  It was new to me, but I will be doing this when I go camping from now on!

I sincerely wish that Jen and Andy lived in Michigan. I want to keep photographing them!! Great people and a great day. I wish you two the best!

Grand Rapids Public Museum Wedding- Jeremy and Caitlin

Grand Rapids Public Museum
Grand Rapids, MI

Congratulations to Jeremy and Caitlin!! What a beautiful wedding!  We couldn't ask for a better venue, with the wonderful background of Grand Rapids.

This was the first time I photographed the first look with the bride's father. What a loving moment with such a loving family. Speaking of family, I was astounded that the grandparents were ready and waiting for photos an hour before we needed them! How cute is that?! (A big thank you to Jackie, family friend and "wedding manager", for organizing everyone and everything that day! How I wish you were a wedding planner!)

This day came with a ton of surprises. My favorite one was when the Brockette family surprised their parents with a "first dance", since they never had one at their wedding.  It was really beautiful.

This wedding was filled with lots of tears, smiles, and laughter. Caitlin and Jeremy are such a warm and friendly couple. I wish you the best life together!!

Enjoy the sample photos of their big day...
