MCKAY BALLROOM - SAM AND BRYAN

MCKAY TOWER BALLROOM
GRAND RAPIDS, MI

Congratulations to Sam and Bryan!! What a fun and elegant celebration at McKay Tower, in Grand Rapids.

This couple is so adorable and so fun and easy to be around. I was even more excited for this day when we had so much fun in Ypsilanti for their engagement session. If you missed their engagement session, you can check it out here:

Sam and Bryan met each other while working at Whole Foods when Sam applied for the Customer Service Team Leader position in Ann Arbor. Transitioning to a new store and a new city was challenging, but slowly everyone around them started to notice how well Bryan and Sam worked together and how they both seemed happier when they were working together. It took the two of them a little longer than everyone else to figure that out (mostly Sam, Bryan caught on much quicker) but once they did they knew that they had found something special.

As they got to know each other better, they would finish each others’ sentences or text the same thing to each other at the same time and found they had more in common than they ever thought. The two of them love cooking together while listening to jazz music, sampling new Michigan breweries, playing board games with friends, and spending time outside on hikes or bike rides.

Sam took Bryan to Grand Rapids early on to show him the city that she loved ever since she went to school at Grand Valley. Together they explored her favorite places and found new favorites together on other trips out to the west side of the state.

It was on one of these trips in January of 2020 that Bryan proposed. He took Sam on a romantic walk across the pedestrian Blue Bridge while it was all lit up at night and asked her to marry him. She was not expecting it at all and loves that Grand Rapids will always be a part of their story.

A special thank you to Maria Lewis, for being my wonderful second shooter! Always love to have her by my side, and my couples get more beautiful images!!

Barn 1888 Wedding- Jessica and Kyle

Barn 1888
Hopkins, MI

Congratulations Jessica and Kyle!! These two had THREE different dates for this wedding due to the times we’ve faced recently. There were a lot of changes, but they have stayed positive and now they FINALLY tied the knot! Good things come to those who wait. What a beautiful wedding full of amazing family and friends. It was laid back and perfect. And… rain on your wedding day is good luck for a marriage. ;)

Kyle had THE BEST reaction for the first look. When he saw her, he had his hands over his mouth for about five minutes and was just crying. They were both so nervous getting up to this point, but after they were together, everything felt right.

These two met at work years ago. After their first date, Kyle was telling people that they were going to end up together in the end. Six months later, he told her he loved her after hanging out with her family all day. Two years later, on the exact same day, he proposed in front of her whole family. The speech was really sweet and emotional. He had her mom’s ring that her dad proposed with years ago.

These two are such a beautiful pair. They are sweet, fun, laidback, and super easy models. I had a great time with them and I wish them the best in all their future adventures!

The Zick Family seriously has THE most images on these pages of my website!! Ha!!! I love this family. I’m looking forward to even more weddings and family events soon! Thank you so much for all of your support and trust.
